Olivier was in leading positions with Credit Suisse Group in New York and Zurich for several years. He specialised in off-balance-sheet-financing and risk-taking. He headed the Corporate Development Division of a leading private bank in Zurich for four years. In this function, he and his team developed the new business-strategy for the Bank. In this position he intensively worked – as a client – with consulting firms such as McKinsey and Accenture and experienced the advantages and limitations of consulting.

Olivier restructured the three-generation industrial family business. He went through different stages with the company – including expanding, a merger with another producer and finally the selling of it. He is involved in hotel-ventures in South America, member of a governing board of a midsized advertising-enterprise, an internet service company in Switzerland and a high-tech company in the US.

Olivier holds an university degree of Business & Administration of the University of Zurich; partly he studied in Melbourne, Australia. He speaks German, English, French and some Spanish and Portuguese.

He is active sailor, leading the Swiss Sailing National Team to the Sydney 2000 and Athen 2004 Olympics – where his team achieved the best Swiss result since 36 years.
